1993 Festival Tie-Dye Tee, Purple & Yellow

An original 1993 Lollapalooza tour tee, picked up at the tour’s Waterloo Village stop in New Jersey. This vintage men’s tee carries a Lollapalooza Festival ’93 graphic and a row of illustrated faces on purple, yellow-gold and white tie dye, a bold piece of alternative-festival imagery as expressive as the music behind it. Fabric made in the USA, assembled in Jamaica.

The back lists the 1993 lineup: Primus, Alice in Chains, Dinosaur Jr., Arrested Development, Front 242, Babes in Toyland, Rage Against the Machine and Tool. This shirt came from the stop at Waterloo Village in Stanhope, New Jersey, on July 12–13, 1993, when a still-rising Rage Against the Machine opened the main stage and Alice in Chains played with Layne Staley out front. True vintage and authentic, not a reprint. Wear it with denim, or under an open flannel or overshirt.
